The Role of Climate in Migration
The Syrian civil war is a really interesting example this is probably climate is climate change is one driver behind this conflict and yet nobody thinks of the Syrian refugee problem except you as a climate induced problem. I mean it seems to me that you've just put your finger on something that's a bit of a puzzle here right which is you're going to have all these people who are migrating ultimately as a result of climate but with the exception of the people whose islands are disappearing we will generally not attribute it to climate Right so my question is to what extent and over what time frame will it be obvious enough that these migration effects are climate related?
