The Problem Is, You Can't, One Victor Does Not Give You Permanent Authority

How do we know that an expert community like ken is actually prodcing knowledge? There are probably commonalities in method between the working fields. But then you also have other lines of evidence where you need to often judge a field from the outside. So what are the outside markers of a field? One is they can do something practical that no one else can do. It doesn't necessarily determine whether it's right or not, though. And ultimately if we take a basion approach to knowing more about our past and future there will always be crazies who come up with new ideas.
