Introduction
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission is looking to ban gas stoves. To cook with electricity, a power plant burns natural gas to create steam. 60% or more of the energy used in electrical power plants is lost. So requiring homeowners to cook with electricity will have the unintended consequence of tripling the amount of power required to run their stoves.
