The Importance of Nitrogen Fixing Organisms
The atmosphere contains the equivalent of 5,000 truckloads of urea per hectare. Micro-resulfongate are the perfect partners for nitrogen fixing organisms. AMF produce a constant trickle feed of phosphate because they're breaking the bond between calcium and phosphate. They need an ongoing supply of phosphorus to make ATP to fuel the nitrogenase enzyme that is responsible for converting the gas into plant food.
