I'd Like to Be at the Leading Edge of the Green Economy
If i was in charge of the british isles, first thing would be to shift subsidies towards green energy and renewables. I also want to make sure that my north sea oil which is a wonderful revenue generator for the bristol isles, is used up as slowly as possible. The reason why fossil feels, at this moment in time, seems to be cheap than renewables ecause of subsidies. If you look at the top 25 fossil field companies in the world, 19 of them are fully or part owned by a country. They get huge r tax breaks and subsidies and all that to allow them to produce fossil fields as cheaply as possible.
