The Transfer Window, Is It?
transfer windows were only introduced in the early noughties. The idea that a club could demand a fee when you didn't have a contract with him wasabsurd. It felt that allowing transfers, a past firtfers am us, could undermine integrity of competitions. As we get bigger contracts and bigger transfer fees, we're seeing plays run down their contracts a lot more. And there's an excitement about working on the market and how things can change so quickly. One could argue it's human beings perhaps more than they've ever done before. Of course, i prefer the transfer window to the actual football matches. But yes, all these reasons began to change the way transfers were conducted
