The Story of the Israelites

In first Corinthians 10 Paul uses, not just this story, but kind of the whole wilderness narrative to apply it to the Israelites. And what he starts out is he's Christianizing this old testament narrative,. Then he switches he says okay they had all this sacramental food and drink and they were baptized into Moses just like we're baptized into Christ. But with most of them God wasn't well pleased because they were laid low in the wilderness so well that's exactly which we just heard in, in numbers. Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.
