How to Deal With Notifications
I think we have to have an honest conversation about notifications. Our brains are wired for novelty, and when we get a notification on our phone, we never know is it going to be good or bad. So with notifications, my three golden rules is turn off the non-essential. I don't think we need email notifications. My second one is to bundle or batch your notifications. With most apps or web tools now, you can now nominate what time or times of the day. You want WhatsApp notifications. You want Instagram notifications. You're not dribbling in throughout the day and distracting you. And my third recommendation is to create VIP notifications. But those people on that do not disturb list
