What Is the Measure of Success of This Revolt?
In 17 64, it must have been extra ary. Heard in the end, between a third and a fifth of the people who were there before the rebellion do not survive. And so rebellions are both moments full of possibility, but thereare also wars. And as wars, they bring enormous suffering with them. We don't really know how people pick up the pieces when the dutch come and re impose slavery.
