The Tudor Period: A Selection of Clothing
Most men are wearing a doublet on the top part of their body. It's usually buttoned up the front and has fitted sleeves. A jerkin which is again a fitted short torso covering garment. Or a gown which is also something that women wear, a top layer of clothing for when you go out or you're being formal. And most people would have a gown that they regarded as their best for going to church.
