Jesus was teaching the multitudes when his mother and brothers stood outside seeking to speak with him. In some cultures that's it every time mom shows up, right? You got a course you love your mother. But Jesus is bringing about this specialness of connection for all who are believers. It's not like oh, I have this exclusive connection here and you guys can't connect to that Mm-hmm springing a new awareness.
