Roman Coins - What Are They?
These are so called celtic coins, or iron age coins. Theyre being made by people who were here before the roman conquest. The first thing that strikes me, looking at these coins, there are no emperors, kings, queens, gods on these coins. This is something that i thought was beyond the technological capacity of britons. So they're probably what we call bullion. In other words, that they were minted for their value in gold and silver. You couldn't get change either.
