The introduction of coffee into the region about a hundred years ago has linked talea and opened it up to the global economy for all. The new digial technologies reflect the cultural importance of their ongoing spiritual relationships with supernatural beings. A virtual village on utube gives a somewhat scewed or distorted view of village life, because most posts are for events like fiestas,. But i think that's a good example of how the dalens are using these new technologies.
