The practical big deal the practicalities in people's lives. Marjorie Kemp had to wait until she'd raised her 14 children to be allowed to go on pilgrimage that her husband would let her go before. The one of the elements in pilgrimage was that you put yourself at risk in order to do it so some really obvious British examples of it. Holy Island, Lindisfar and I don't know if people know that but I did that on Good Friday with a group who carry across across they carry a crucifix across in bare feet.
