Her research on the brains of people who are both extremely altruistic and extremely callous suggests that they have unusual ways of responding to other people's pherms. With extremely altruistic people seeming to be very sensitive to it. They are good at recognizing when other people are afraid, and their brains are more responsive to it than average.
