Brian Balmages is a world-renowned composer and conductor, as well as the director of Make Music Publications and Digital Education for Alfred Music. Today we are taking a deep dive into his compositional process as well as the world of Concert Band Music. His approach to the role of a composer and his philosophy of music is very refreshing and I think composers and music educators especially will get a lot out of this episode.
He also introduces two of his works for us to listen to, "Sunset Suspended" and "Love and Light."
