The History of the SS Eastland
The SS Eastland is almost forgotten in history, and it's been so twisted now. This was a boat that took regular people in Chicago onto the Great Lakes. Woodrow Wilson wanted to make sure every boat had enough lifeboats for every single person. They put all of them on because Woodrow Wilson deemed that that was federal law now. It didn't even get off the deck,. The whole thing flipped over, and about 1,000 people died. Largest loss of life on the Great Lakes still to this day.
