What Do You Find Most Disturbing in a Painting?
The first portrait ever produced of a cannibal and produced in a very sort of casual human way. The portraits were created to be hung in the magnificent dining hall of the Dutch palace that was built there. And you can only imagine that perhaps seeing baskets of severed limbs wasn't very conducive to healthy appetite in their dinner guests.
