How different would the general language have been in conversation? Even assuming i could pick up some one's accent, would they use words and lang that was very different to what i would use? They might well use some familiar words that don't actually mean what you thinks. One word that youngsters loved to use to day is amazing. But that didn't mean fantastic and wonderful. Meant totally bewildering. A mas as in the masor hampton court, say, is a place to get lost in. And that word actually comes from mas meaning to bewilder and confuse someone. Things like nice.
