Herbert Hoover and the Great Depression
Hoover was much more of an orthodox thinker, less able to think outside the box. Hoovervilles were essentially the camps of unemployed and homeless people. It's very hard to pin a responsibility for the onset or the causes of the great depression on herbert hober you can responsibly, i think, hold him responsible for not doing more, not more effectively when it hit.
