The IRA and Corporate Welfare

The IRA doesn't have very many actual penalties except for two big penalties that we should really talk about. The Biden administration right from the get-go in March of 2021, had an entire slew of measures of about $4.5 trillion of taxes that they were going to raise. But over the course of this sort of like fighting off all of the the corporate forces that don't want to be taxed, they just said, screw you, you aren't going to tax us. And so that $4. 5 trillion goes into $2.5 trillion, $1.75 trillion in the House bill back better.
