The Chilean Constitution Is a Stab at Utopie
There's some speculation that when the plebiscite is held on the new constitution, which is going to be in December of this year, we haven't seen the draft of it. So there's a lot of unknowns. What I wanted to say though was that while my first visit to Chile in 1971 was instructive as a 20-year-old radical of saying, oh, gee, this is what a revolution could look like. It's not abstract. This isn't an abstract discussion in the DSA in New York or around somebody's dinner table in Washington. And can you shift it back?"
