The electricity share of industrial energy consumption in the United States has been unchanged for 40 years. The best news probably is on the commercial and residential building heat, but they still use a lot of fossil fuels. It does look like over the next 10 to 20 years, global oil consumption will stop accelerating at the same pace it did historically.
