The History of HMI Lighting
HMI lighting is a white, blue light. It's a very strong light. This sort of came out in the late 70s or early 80s and everybody was really excited about it. Those lights are fantastic because they replicate sunlight. But they draw a lot of power to run those things. And oftentimes more power than what a standard 15A circuit does in your house. So usually when you have to use HMI's or tungsten lights, you either have to do a tie-in, which is a longer thing, or you have to get a generator and a crew to deal with that.
