CBS moved quickly to capitalize on the success of a Charlie Brown Christmas. The network ordered four more Peanuts specials, with many more to follow. In 1966, CBS premiered its second animated holiday special, an adaptation of Dr. Seuss's How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
