The Importance of Mercy in Augustine's Life
Augustine's mother began praying for him at a very early age. She was like the cyber-finesian woman that wouldn't let Jesus alone. So Augustine didn't have a chance. There was no way he was going to be brought into the church. But when there's someone begging for mercy and clemency and compassion for somebody before God, he's going to hear. And he hears of course he hears Moses. If there's anybody in the Old Testament who's a Christ figure, it's Moses.
