Nixon was doing things that were directly opposite of the triloht what the trilateral commission was created to do. So nixon also alienates, not only are these right winged people, like the people that would have supported the american security council against nixon. And so it's when the way water gate shakes down, yes, the regan revolution and the defense build up under jimmy carter. You can see how these forces were empowered by getting rid of nixon.
