The Federal Reserve has done all of us as a nation real good by getting the interest rates down enough so that we're really starting to see the economy come back to its full capabilities and potential. It has been terribly painful for the people who depend on interest income because they've seen interest income go from 5, 6, 7 percent down to 2, 3 percent. So be realistic about that. But if you're looking at what should you do as an investor today, first of all, think long term. Don't look just at your stock and bond portfolio.
