When he was writing the book, it was a period of wildcat strikes and Indian summer of militancy. Subsequently, we got Reagan. You know, we got much more conservatism. And I came to see that consciousness is episodic. So what a social movement has to do really is capture that – to translate that heightened consciousness into law or an organization.
