The Second Bloodiest Conflict in All Human History

This is the second bloodiest conflict in all human history, just after weldwartok right. And yet, at least in the west, it's incredibly unknown. Why is that? For a very long period of time, the internal squabbles of natives in far off places was simply not worthy of documenting. I don't think there's an excuse for it, and i think should be.
