You Will Sow What You Sow

Job is our friend job, and eliphaz is his buddy, his pal. He has a common understanding of the role of suffering in life. One of the reasons for suffering is because we are reaping basically what we've sown. So one of the fruits of suffering can be repentance or it can be something that god is using to teach us deeper wisdom about life than could ever be learned outside of suffering.
