Kyle Bancroft's mom claims that one of her son's friends had attacked her and repeatedly stabbed her with a knife. The only reason that she was able to get away is because her son, Dane, stepped in to fight off her attacker. While all of this was happening, 15-year-old Kyle remained asleep in his bed. It wasn't until the police arrived that he woke up,. walked out of his bedroom and briefly saw his brother, Dane, bloodied and unresponsive on the living room floor.
