Brian Adigone: Black enrollment and graduation rates in the University of California system had been declining. He says after race-based preferences were ended, black enrollment not only increased, but so did black graduation rates. "What are we trying to do here? What is the point of flunking out of Berkeley instead of graduating from University of California at San Jose or UC Davis?" he asks.
