The 1990s: A Time of Optimism
The 90s was a period of optimism and a sense that maybe we had reached a new equilibrium. It is difficult to consider the period that ones live through to be history, but it is a fair distance away now. When I was born in the early 60s, the equivalent would have been the Second World War. We have moved on from there and things feel very, very different now. That was our wind turner, senior lecturer in history at the University of Chitjasta.
