What's the Relationship Between Taste and Smell?

If you hold your nose and eat chocolate, it tastes just like chalk. Smell that comes inside from our mouth up to the top of our nose, we call that smell taste. It's a form of synaesthesia, of misperception of one sense as another. A study in Illinois found bad smells increase aggression among school children.
