Kill them all sounds like a collection of new wave of British heavy metal songs played by some over eager American kids who play everything super fast. It's teenage Judas Priest with the tempo way up and a singer who can't really sing yet. Hetfield in his earliest demos had a high boyish voice with which he could effectively imitate the high tenor power metal vocals of the day. A vocal style he knew and loved from bands like Iron Maiden. In contrast James's abilities as a rhythm guitar player are almost fully developed on Kill them all.
