The insides of this object, its functional its inner workings, may change any time. They even might change while the program is running. Ah, and you, as the softer developer, you would have no idea that this is happening. And actually you don't care that much, because usually it's a pretty reliable thing to talk through these inter paces. Once the inter face changes, and not just like incrementally adding more plugs to it, but changing the form of the plats, changing the appearance of the plates, changing the way you connect it, then the whole thing falls apart. Then the object is not the same any more.
