The History of Marijuana

Mexican immigrants brought the idea of recreational cannabis to the United States. Anselinger switched from calling weed cannabis to calling it by its Mexican name, marijuana. He even corralled media mogul William Hurst into printing the word marijuana in all his newspapers. Some would argue that his intent was to get Americans subconsciously associating marijuana with Mexican immigrants.
