Challenger Launch - The Ultimate Field Trip
History teacher Krista McCallop will be making history herself, but she teaches two classes from the orbiter. The mission of the Challenger crew would be to put a couple of satellites into orbit, one for communications and another to study Haley's comet. Thousands of school children, teachers and well-wishers packed the Kennedy Space Center this weekend in anticipation of the big event.
