Real scale an agricultural experimentation is quite strong in this period. So thes so thisf direct agricultural research going on in these places as much as a mornebulous scientific analysis, and people trying to just get a sense of o of typology and things li er. And i'm guessing, like the whole victorian experience with rhododendras and japanese knokweed, tells us there's a long history of collecting things that look like they're going to be funin gardens.
