The Strength of Faith

Paul talks about taking up the shield of faith with which you can extinguish the flaming arrows of the evil one. With this aspect of the armor in particular I think we need to reinforce the nature of the Christ centered aspect of this armor. It refocuses our attention not so much on our own strength or our own faith but on Christ just as Paul has already emphasized for us in Ephesians 2 by grace you are saved through faith it is a gift of God. The final two aspects of the armor of God are the helmet of salvation and the sword of the spirit.
