How I Got My Start in Tech Journalism

CNN's John Sutter started his career as a tech journalist. He says most of us were just extensions of big tech's PR agencies. "It was nice to get paid to sit home and write, and the experience putting out a shitload of words every single day that were polished enough to pay" But it wasn't journalism so he sought opportunities to actually get out into the world and do original reporting.
