The Importance of Portion Bias
We have something called portion bias which means we like to finish a thing. It's why I eat an entire big bag of crisps in one go. On the internet you can't finish a unit of the internet because they've developed what they call infinity scrolling. So this drowning information leaves us feeling not just helpless and hopeless and impotent to do anything about all this stuff that's happening in the world. We also feel hungry, dissatisfied because we didn't get to the end of it. Nobody told us it was time up.
