The Origin of Our Prayers

Most often when we pray, our prayers begin in reaction to a problem. But paul's prayer flows from god's promises. And so his prayer is born from a place of promise instead of problem. This is why jesus taught us to begin all our prayers with, hallowed be your name. Because you've been walking around in a contested world. In that contested world is infiltrating on your imagination. If you want to pray, you need to free your imagination by the expansive promises of god. We are heirs of promise, but we still so often pray based on problems. When problems become our prayer guides, we pray for removal. because this side of eternity is constantly contested
