Women in History - A Book Review
Every chapter of the book is just bristling with extraordinary women. I think it's very hard because when I look back through the book, I fall in love with them all over again. And then I read about Annie Patchin, the Tibetan nun who stood firm against the Chinese invasion of Tibet and spent many, many years in prison. When they finally released her, she went straight back out and carried on campaigning. She says that within women's stories, as opposed to the broader story of social history or political or geopolitical history, there are often women and men fighting side by side.
