On one page, I came across a very sort of ordinary looking piece of red flannel. It doesn't look like anything very exciting until you read the caption. And it's such a specific piece of information. So I immediately started digging and discovered that somebody called admiral Sir Thomas Cochrane was on anti-piracy duties at this time in 1845. At some point, Anne met him and asked if he would contribute presumably a piece of fabric to her book. And he gave her this piece of pirate flag.
