We display mary's longest letter, which is the first and last page of a ten page letter. I wonder why she didn't give evidence. Did she not think it was the place of n perhaps it could have changed so much? And also, an english court had no authority over a scottish queen. We try to display some of the different methods that would have been used by the intelligence services to try to keep elizabeth safe. So we're standing in front of a video which strats letter locking methods created by a wonderful conservator called janadambrogio from m i t university in the states.
