Fixing Our City is a weekly podcast about San Francisco's problems. This week, Laura Wenness talks with Capitol reporter Alexi Kossef on the state budget. Kossef: A new Senate proposal would help renters by forgiving months of rent that tenants can't pay because they've lost their job or have some other financial hardship during the coronavirus pandemic. The idea is to keep people in their homes still compensate landlords and also get the money back eventually so that it doesn't cost the state too much.
