What Are Valkyries?
We don't have definite written sources, specifically from the Viking Age. But we do have some representations in art of female figures that are often interpreted to be valkyries. And so you've got these sort of figures that look like women and they have swords or shields or spears. Some people think that they represent warrior women, actual human figures that existed in the Viking age. Other people say that, well, you've got pundits with Thor's hammers,. You would have a pendant as something that represents something that you believe in that's not of this world.
