Home Builders Sentiment Drops for the First Time Since the Start of the Pandemic
Home builder sentiment in the single family market dropped into negative territory for the first time since very brief plunge at the start of the pandemic. The builders blame higher mortgage rates and ongoing inflation in construction costs. Still, one in five builders reported lowering prices in august to try to booth sales and slow cancellations.
